The RSA is primarily a network of its Fellows, who are based all around the world. Although founded over 250 years ago, the RSA has recently found new energy in its efforts to launch an innovative programme to engage its membership in the creation of a network for civic innovation through events, an online community and other activities.
In 2007, the University of Westminster provided a room to support a group of Fellows at an open meeting to discuss how to use the internet to support links with other organisations, support civic innovation, and encourage a wider Fellowship to grow.
Over the last two years the RSA Fellowship has been changing, with a new strategic direction, and a new website and online network which has been developed with support from the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA).
On 19 February, a creative workshop will be organised by a small group of Fellows, again at the University of Westminster, which will provide an opportunity to share ideas about how Fellows can connect with each other, develop projects, and work towards the RSA’s goals.
The workshop will take place on Thursday 19 February, from 2pm to 5.30pm, with coffee available from 1.30pm. It will be held in The Pavilion, University of Westminster Cavendish Campus, 115 New Cavendish Street, London, W1W 6UW.
For directions, please see Cavendish Campus map here.
The afternoon will involve an active, creative, and imaginative exploration of:
If you can’t attend the day, you will still be able to participate in the discussion subsequently over on the RSA Networks Platform or on the Open RSA wiki.
The workshop will be limited to 30 participants, to retain a reasonably intimate, hands-on atmosphere.
We hope to see you there,
Belinda Lester and Laura Bunt, RSA, David Gauntlett and Lizzie Jackson, University of Westminster, and David Wilcox, SocialReporter.com.
Please RSVP by Friday 5th February

Via Michelin | GoogleRSA Fellows told us that they would like to find more meaningful ways of working together and of becoming active participants in delivering positive social change. We're working to make this vision a reality and transform the RSA and its Fellowship into a network for civic innovation.
